General Goals

Many high achievers such as the former Secretary of the State Condolezza Rice, former chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan, and most recently Nobel Prize winner for medicine and physiology Thomas Sudhof attribute their success to their early music learning. The phenomenon extends beyond the math-music association. Music opens up the pathways to creative thinking, to collaboration, to listening, to weaving together disparate ideas, to view and perceive the world in artistic dimension, to focus on the present and the future simultaneously and to connect closely between body and mind.

No matter at what stage of your life, I would like to help you enhance your life when we study piano together.

Specific Goals

Children attend National Piano Guild yearly and reach Intermediate level before entering 12th grade. Piano learning will help them pass the AP music theory test; apply to the Performing Arts High School; seek Music Major or Minor in college; study another instrument for orchestra; appreciate music at more sophisticated level; and obtain a culturally rich life style.

Of course, no matter how talented and smart you are, without consistent and thoughtful practice, you will not improve. I would like to help you have better time management and organization skills, and be more disciplined through our piano experience.
